“Life Without Love” – Pachucos

Continuing our all Texas week, Sharx would like to formally introduce you to Pachucos, the solo project of Austinite Daniel Sanchez of the equally cool band Hunter Jones. This is some of the chillest bedroom pop I’ve heard, and that’s entirely a compliment. “Life Without Love” is just lo-fi enough to be endearing, but the guitar work grows in intricacy and builds into a complex and compelling melody. It’s chill, but not sleepy. Longing, but not desperate. We strongly recommend visiting the Pachucos bandcamp, it’s like listening to yr friends jamming by the fire while camping at McKinney Falls.

You can catch Daniel Sanchez playing with Hunter Jones at the following upcoming shows:

March 8, The Jagoe House, Denton, TX @ 11 p.m.
March 11, Unofficial SXSW Showcase, Club 1808, Austin, TX – 2 p.m.
March 11, SXSW Day Party, Anton’s House – 4711 Red Bluff Rd., Austin, TX – 12 p.m.
April 1, Holy Mountain, Austin, TX – 10 p.m.
April 7/8, Mr. Fest, San Marcos, TX – time TBA
April 18, Spider House Ballroom with GANG SIGN, Austin, TX – time TBA

  1. Glad to hear you’re playing at the bar I co-own @Holy Mountain. Great song, Daniel.

  2. Daniel Sanchez says:

Thanks Clint, I really appreciate that. Holy Mountain is dope, really dig it over there, especially the pricing on 24 oz Coors haha. Thanks for the love and keep your bar going dude.

Say Something Sharx!
