“Mad Men” – Herzog
Herzog’s latest album “Boys” is full of catchy power pop jams that meander between raw punk-power-chord energy & sing-along popiness. Which is a wonderful combination. “Mad Men” in particular is a song that finds one head banging to lyrics about nobody singing along to their songs & watching one’s “twenties as they slowly pass you by”. That last line of the song is what hits closest to home for me lol. The whole of “Boys” kind of reminds me of Weezer’s Pinkerton, which is my favorite Weezer album. I’ll probably post another song from this album next week as I’ve really been digging this release.
