Au Revoir Simone refer to themselves as a “keyboard band”. I can dig that. Plus they previously covered Mazzy Star’s “Fade Into You” with Nikolai Fraiture of The Strokes, a fantastic collaboration. After some brief research I found out NZCA/Lines is a dude who has played guitar/keyboard for Metronomy’s live shows. On top of that, Sarah Jones of Hot Chip is on drums for this track. That’s a ton of good bands/artists to mention all in one post. Happy Friday!

In today’s IP selection, RAC (aka André Allen Anjos) takes the epic & lush atmosphere of “Sea Of Voice” and remixes it into a wonderfully quiet-but-building pop song. Both the original and the remix are equally great in my eyes. I encourage listening to both.

Tokyo’s Taquwami is on the rise in North America after his remix was included in the official remix release for Ryan Hemsworth’s “Perfectly”, as well as recently being called out by Hemsworth as a top five producer to know. Taquwami’s sounds are just as big as they are transcendent. Seriously, you can get lost in these songs.
Today we’ve got a Haerts remix for you. This time it’s MS MR’s alt pop song “Think of You” from their debut album “Secondhand Rapture”.
Panama remixes Clubfeet’s nu disco track “Cape Town” offering a nice (& somewhat) downtempo electro dance song. Via Future Classic.
Texas “crunkstep” artist Crizzly remixed Jay Z’s “Tom Ford”. Like his other remixes, its filled with so much bass, & we think that’s fantastic.
Also, it’s snowing in Dallas today. We’re not prepared for this.
